The agricultural challenge
Nitrogen supports crop productivity but is also associated with input cost, manufacturing emissions, nutrient losses and N₂O emissions.
About R-Leaf®
R-Leaf was developed around a simple question: can the crop canopy itself become part of the solution to agriculture’s nitrogen and climate challenge?
Why it exists
R-Leaf adds a new intervention: use daylight and the crop canopy to interact with nitrogen compounds already present in the surrounding atmosphere.
Nitrogen supports crop productivity but is also associated with input cost, manufacturing emissions, nutrient losses and N₂O emissions.
A crop already provides large areas of leaf exposed to light and atmosphere. R-Leaf adds photocatalytic activity to that existing surface.
